Message from the CEO
Employees of East Central Alberta Child and Family Services and the Ministry of Children and Youth Services are dedicated professionals whose jobs are, simply put, about keeping our children and families safe, promoting safe and caring communities, and working collaboratively with our partners and communities to achieve that outcome.
Our three-year Business Plan, which is updated each year, states the goals we are striving to achieve and details the strategies that guide all of our work. We encourage our community members to provide us with feedback, opinions and suggestions on how our work affects children and families and what we could be doing better. We listen to our partners to gain a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities in our communities, and to help us identify our regional priorities.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Children and Youth Services, our regional partners, clients, interested community members and others, we strive to achieve successful outcomes for children and families. We appreciate the support and encouragement we receive toward these goals.
We look forward to meeting challenges and overcoming obstacles that sometimes prevent families from providing safe and nurturing environments for their children. Our staff work hard to help make our communities safe - neighbourhoods people are proud to call home, neighbourhoods in which people are safe. I'm proud and privileged to work with the East Central Alberta Child and Family Services team. I applaud their dedication to help our region's children, families and communities.
If you have concerns about a child, youth or family please contact your nearest Children's Resource Centre. If you have difficulty finding specific information on our website about issues affecting children, youth and families, about Alberta Children and Youth Services or about East Central Alberta Child and Family Services, any of the region's Children's Resource Centres can assist you.
